Clinical Trials

Clinical trials are how medical research breakthroughs become life-changing treatments. Participating in a clinical trial means that you may benefit from cutting-edge treatments not available elsewhere. Also, you are helping pave the way for new and improved therapies that benefit others.

Clinical trials are closely monitored for safety and effectiveness. The treatments are often provided free of charge, and you may even be compensated for participating.

UAB Medicine Huntsville offers a range of clinical trials that may be right for you or someone you know. Some participants have conditions that lack treatment options or haven’t responded to standard treatments. Others are motivated to help advance research for conditions that affected a family member or friend.

Currently, UAB Medicine Huntsville has openings in clinical trials for the following conditions:

  • Anxiety: If you struggle with anxiety but do not feel depressed, please call 256-551-4668 or email hsvpsychresearch@uabmc.edu to be considered for a new type of treatment.
