As the largest primary care practice in north Alabama, the UAB Medicine Huntsville Family Medicine Clinic is well-suited to serve as the medical home for your entire family, from acute and preventive care to chronic disease management and geriatric care. Our size allows us to provide quality health care services more easily than many small practices, yet we strive to establish one-on-one patient and physician relationships for ongoing management of your and your family’s health at every age.
As part of an academic medical center, UAB Medicine Huntsville is committed to education, so we use medical residents in training to help deliver care, under the close supervision of experienced staff physicians. Our Family Medicine Residency Program was the first in Alabama to be approved and fully accredited, and today it is recognized as one of the premier family practice residencies in the southeast.
Whether you are cared for directly by a faculty physician or by one of our resident physicians in collaboration with a faculty member, your care will be managed by some of the most highly trained family medicine providers in the state. Our diverse group of board-certified faculty physicians includes several who have additional specialty training in obstetrics and geriatrics, and many are leaders in both the Alabama and Madison County medical societies and the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians.
To schedule an appointment, please call the Family Medicine Clinic at 256.551.4500. We are scheduling appointments for new patients of all ages, and we accept most forms of insurance including Medicaid/Medicare, TRICARE, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.
